WASHINGTON D.C. (Worthy News) — From August 11 to September 10, Muslims will be celebrating Ramadan, seen by followers of Islam as a holy month. A Christian outreach group, known as 30 Days International, is encouraging Christians everywhere to pray for Muslims during this time, Worthy News has learned.

30 Days International started in April of 1992, after God put a burden on their hearts to “call as many Christians as possible to pray for the Muslim world”, according to their website.  What started out as a handful of Christian leaders has turned into a worldwide ministry, “which now includes millions of people praying for the Muslim world.”

The goal of 30 Days International is to “see the spread of the Gospel across the Muslim world and the preparation of the Christian Church worldwide for a wonderful move of God among Muslims.”  To that end, the organization has established a prayer event and literature to be used as a guideline on what to pray for on specific days during the month of Ramadan. The group’s website, www.30-days.net, offers a prayer guide on specifics that Christians can pray for, one for each day.
