GAZA/JERUSALEM (Worthy News) – Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have eliminated the head of the Hamas Air Force in Gaza City, Worthy News learned Saturday.

Murad Abu Murad was killed as he directed “terrorists in the murderous attack last Saturday” when Hamas launched its deadliest attack against Israel on record, Israeli sources said.

Murad’s death reportedly came as the IDF attacked Hamas’s operational headquarters in Gaza, where military operations are ongoing, and Israel’s first ground troops have entered.

The IDF said the military recovered numerous bodies of missing Israelis in a ground raid on Gaza on Friday.

The troops are part of units preparing for a more extensive operation and identifying hostages held by Hamas, designated a terrorist organization by Israel and most Western countries. Israel has warned 1.1 million Palestinians living in north Gaza to evacuate south ahead of a major ground offensive.

“This warning is militarily speaking not logical, but our fight not against the civilian population. Our aim is to dismantle Hamas,” an IDF spokesperson said in comments seen by Worthy News.

But the IDF has condemned Hamas for reportedly preventing many innocent Palestinians from leaving their homes and using them as well as Israeli hostages, including toddlers and babies, as human shields.

Footage emerged seen by Worthy News late Friday showing Hamas fighters allegedly holding one or more infants next to their guns. One armed man can be seen pushing a baby carriage with an infant inside back and forth. The footage was released ahead of an expected Israeli invasion of Gaza that Israel says is aimed at Hamas, which it and numerous Western countries have designated as a terror organization.

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres said Israel’s call for a mass evacuation was extremely hazardous, and he urged humanitarian access to the region.

Israel has lashed out at UN criticism, saying it responds to the worst atrocities against Jews since the Holocaust, also known as the Shoah, when 6 million Jews were murdered. The Hamas attacks launched last Saturday killed at least 1,300 people in Israel, according to authorities.
