JERUSALEM (Worthy News) – Israel’s military released footage early Saturday local time that it said was the airforce hitting “terror targets” in neighboring Lebanon.

“Over the last few hours, in response to rocket launches and anti-tank missiles fired toward Israel, [the Israel Defense Forces] IDF aircraft struck Hezbollah [group] terror targets,” the IDF confirmed in a statement seen by Worthy News.

The IDF added that “Among these terror targets were military compounds used for operational and terror purposes, as well as Hezbollah terror infrastructure.”

Additionally, the IDF said it struck “anti-tank missile launchers located along the border and directed toward Israel.”

Earlier, the IDF said they struck “a Hezbollah post in which a terrorist cell was operating.”

The latest strikes came after “a number of anti-tank missiles were reportedly fired toward IDF soldiers operating in the area of the Lebanese border,” the IDS said.

SOLDIERS RESPONDING

Ahead of the air strikes, IDF soldiers were responding with fire toward Lebanese territory, according to Israel’s military.

Additionally, the IDF said it “intercepted a target that was headed toward Israeli airspace from Lebanese territory” although “there was no infiltration of Israeli air space.”

However, dangers remain as Hezbollah has amassed a large and sophisticated arsenal of over 100,000 rockets and missiles.

They include thousands capable of striking northern Israel, while others can reach Tel Aviv, central Israel, or even the entire country, according to Israeli intelligence sources.

Despite Israel facing multiple fronts, including in Gaza and Lebanon, the IDF stressed that they were “ready and will continue to operate on all fronts to ensure the safety of Israeli civilians.”
