12 Believers Attacked and Arrested in India

KARNATAKA, INDIA (Worthy News)– After an attack on an Indian believers home in Karnataka, India, 12 believers, including the pastor and an evangelist were arrested by police Worthy news has learned.

During a service being held in the home of one of the believers, about 30 people entered and attacked the believers, accusing them of converting locals by force. It is understood the 12 are still in detention.

The Voice of the Martyrs is asking for prayer support for the twelve. The evangelist known only as Ravi is a member of the Indian branch of Campus Crusade for Christ.

The Campus Crusade for Christ, which states as its purpose “ Helping to fulfill the Great Commission in the power of the Holy Spirit by winning people to faith in Jesus Christ, building them in their faith and sending them to win and build others; and helping the Body of Christ do evangelism and discipleship”, has ministries in over 190 countries worldwide, India being one of them.
