(Worthy News) – The Israel Defense Force (IDF) carried out two significant airstrikes targeting Hamas’ underground infrastructure in the Gaza Strip this week, according to IDF spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari.

In one of the airstrikes, several senior Hamas commanders were hiding, including Ahmed Ghandour, the commander of Hamas’s northern Gaza brigade, and Ayman Siam, the head of Hamas’s rocket firing array, stated Hagari.

In a separate airstrike, the IDF asserts that it successfully eliminated senior members of Hamas’s politburo, including Rawhi Mushtaha, Essam al-Dalis, and Sameh al-Siraj, who were hiding in an underground site.

“Hamas is trying to hide the results of the strike,” Hagari says.

Although Hagari could not elaborate from providing additional details on the strikes, he did emphasize, “it can be said with certainty that the underground locations where they were located were significantly damaged.”
