(Worthy News) – Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant claimed that Iran, Hezbollah, and Hamas are planning to exploit the upcoming Ramadan period as a catalyst for escalating the war, saying that it was planning “the second stage of October 7.”

During a briefing at IDF Central Command, Gallant emphasized, “Hamas’s main goal is to take Ramadan, with an emphasis on the Temple Mount and Jerusalem, and turn it into the second phase of their plan that began on October 7. This is the main goal of Hamas, and it is being amplified by Iran and Hezbollah.”

“We must not give Hamas what it has not been able to achieve since the beginning of the war and converge the combat fronts,” Gallant stated.

Hamas named its lethal assault on southern Israel on October 7 “Operation Al-Aqsa Flood,” in an attempt to justify the violence of what Israelis have come to call “Black Sabbath,” the day marked by those acts of atrocity.

RED HEIFERS SACRIFICE?

Last month, Abu Ubaida, the spokesperson for the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’s military wing, highlighted in a video that the October 7 attacks were motivated by Hamas leadership’s belief that Jews were on a path toward religious revival, potentially leading to the destruction of the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount.

Abu Ubaida, in his recorded speech featured on the Jordanian news website Al Bawaba, revisited the origins of the conflict, emphasizing the religious beliefs at its heart. Abu Ubaida explains, “At the core of these beliefs is a specific Jewish Zionist idea involving the burning of five red heifers.”

“The recent buzz revolves around the arrival of five red heifers from Texas to Israel ten months ago, strategically placed in a secret farm near Beit She’an,” Abu stated.

During the “National Gathering for Prayer and Repentance” event, which took place on January 31 in Washington D.C., details about a potential red heifer sacrifice were discussed (the update is available around the 3-hour and 45-minute mark). Participants directly involved in the project shared that four of the five red heifers may still qualify, and there is anticipation of a possible sacrifice during Passover or Shavuot (Pentecost) this spring, potentially by the Messiah himself.

Biblical scholars closely monitoring the unfolding events in Israel echo Jesus’ warning from Matthew 24:15 concerning the “abomination of desolation” and the Apostle Paul’s warning in 2 Thessalonians 2 regarding deception at the end of days. Paul highlighted that the “man of sin” would occupy the “Temple of God,” claiming divinity through false signs and wonders. These scholars express concern that such forewarned events may now be quickly unfolding.

CRISIS ON THE TEMPLE MOUNT

The Temple Mount, referred to by Muslims as the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, holds the status of the most sacred site in Judaism, being the location of the ancient biblical Temples, and ranks as the third most revered site in Islam. This distinction renders it a pivotal focal point in the Israeli-Palestinian dispute.

During Ramadan, the Temple Mount witnesses the gathering of hundreds of thousands of Muslims, a time when religious zeal intensifies. Although Israel has occasionally restricted Palestinian access amid escalated security concerns, it has generally not applied these restrictions to the nation’s Muslim minority.
