Netanyahu Announces Joint US-Israel Operation Against Iran, Warns Of Heavy Price

JERUSALEM (Worthy News) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel and the United States have launched a joint military operation against Iran aimed at ending what he described as the threat posed by Tehran’s leadership.

In a televised address, Netanyahu said the operation — which he called “Operation Storm Storm” — targets installations linked to Iran’s Revolutionary Guards and Basij forces, and launch sites posing a threat to both Israel and U.S. forces.

“This operation will continue as long as necessary,” Netanyahu said.

He accused Iran’s leadership of spreading terrorism across the region and investing heavily in nuclear weapons and missile programs, “to erase Israel from the face of the earth.”

He said Iran had supported terror groups in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Yemen and had worked to rebuild nuclear and missile capabilities underground.

OPERATION TARGETS IRANIAN MILITARY INFRASTRUCTURE

“If we do not stop them now, they will become immune,” Netanyahu said, arguing that diplomatic efforts had failed to curb Tehran’s ambitions. “The United States does not buy their lies, and we will not sit idly by while the shadow of destruction looms over us.”

Netanyahu said the operation was carried out in “full coordination” with Washington and praised Trump’s leadership.

“Together with the United States, we will strike the terrorist regime hard,” he said.

While Netanyahu said regime change was not the official objective, he stressed that weakening Iran’s leadership could create conditions for political change.

“We will create conditions that will enable the brave Iranian people to shake off the burden of this murderous regime,” he said.

NETANYAHU ADDRESSES IRANIANS

He warned Israelis that “there will be a price, and perhaps a heavy price,” urging citizens to follow civil defense instructions.

“Any military action carries risk,” he said. “But the risk of not acting is unimaginably great.”

Addressing the Iranian public directly, Netanyahu said Israel’s conflict was not with the Iranian people but with what “the “murderous faction of the Ayatollah regime.”

“You are not our enemies, and we are not your enemies. Our common enemy is the regime that has taken over you.”

He urged Iranians to “take your fate into your own hands” adding that those who lay down their weapons would secure their future.

PURIM PARALLEL, PRAISE FOR TRUMP

Netanyahu thanked, the American people and the U.S. military, calling Trump “a determined leader of the free world.”

Netanyahu drew a historical parallel with the upcoming Jewish holiday of Purim —the Biblical story of deliverance from persecution in ancient Persia. “Just as in ancient Persia an enemy rose up to destroy us, and just as that enemy fell, so too will this regime fall,” he said.
