Christian doctor in UK cleared after falsely charged with sharing his faith in an invasive way

(Worthy News) – A Christian doctor in the UK in danger of losing his job and medical license for 3 months was cleared of any wrongdoing by the National Medical Council after it found the charges against him were based on a highly questionable report.

The National Secular Society claimed it filed a complaint for a “highly vulnerable” patient who “felt discomfort at the use of prayer” by Richard Scott, which the National Medical Council called “an anonymous hearsay account” supported by no evidence of an actual patient complaining.

Scott said the National Secular Society was deliberately targeting “the freedom of Christian professionals across the UK to share their faith in the workplace.”

The Christian Legal Centre that defended Scott praised the General Medical Council’s decision.
