DHS to Portland Mayor: ‘Your Inaction’ Has ‘Fueled Senseless Violence and Destruction Night After Night’
(Worthy News) – In a letter to Portland’s Democrat Mayor Ted Wheeler — who has blamed President Trump for the riots and violence in his city — Homeland Security Acting Secretary Chad Wolf states that Wheeler’s failure to take action against the radical activists “has fostered an environment that has fueled senseless violence and destruction.”
In addition, Wolf says that “Portlanders are held hostage by the daily violence,” and that Wheeler should request federal assistance to restore law and order. If not, says Wolf, there will come a time when “the federal government will have no choice but to protect our American citizens.”
In an Aug. 28 open letter to the president, Wheeler wrote, “Yet again, you said you offered to aid Portland by sending in federal law enforcement to our city. On behalf of the City of Portland: No thanks.” [ Source: CNS News (Read More…) ]
