(Worthy News) – A pastor who was abducted by Malaysia state police on February 13, 2017, has not been seen or heard of since, Open Doors UK reports. The fourth anniversary of the abduction of Pastor Raymond Koh has just passed and his family still has no answers as to why he was kidnapped or what has happened to him.

Pastor Raymond was known as a compassionate person, who founded a charity for the poor and needy called Harapan Komuniti (Hope Community). Together with his wife Susanna, Pastor Raymond ministered to all kinds of people, including those with HIV/AIDS, drug addicts, single mothers, and their children, and the homeless, Open Doors said. There has been no explanation forthcoming as to why he should have been targeted for abduction by state police.

In October 2017 the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (SUHAKAM) launched a public inquiry into the disappearance of Raymond Koh and four others. In April 2019, SUHAKAM concluded Pastor Raymond had been forcibly disappeared by the Special Branch of the Malaysian Police Department.

Following the report by SUHAKAM, the Malaysian government commissioned a task force to find the pastor, Open Doors said. The task force was scheduled to report on its findings within six months but, in January 2020, the government said more time was needed. No report has been published as yet.

In February 2020, Susanna Koh filed a lawsuit against the police and Malaysian government: the family has announced they will not stop searching for answers. “Please pray with us for justice to be done as this matter is now in the hands of the judiciary,” Susanna told Open Doors.
