(Worthy News) – The Answers in Genesis Christian apologetics organization has announced plans to confront racism in the US through building a Tower of Babel exhibit as part of its Ark Encounter attraction in Kentucky, Christian Headlines reports. The Ark Encounter is a project designed to bring Biblical history to life and features a life-size Noah’s Ark in Williamstown.

The Biblical record details in Genesis 11 that Noah’s descendants set out to build a tower that “reaches to the heavens” in order to make “a name for ourselves.” When God saw the tower they had built, He said: “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them.” (Genesis 11:7).

Therefore, the Lord decided: “Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.” (Genesis 11:8)

In a statement about the tower of Babel project, Answers in Genesis CEO Ken Ham said: “Our goal in building the Babel attraction at the Ark Encounter is to proclaim mankind’s true history as described in God’s Word.”

“In doing so, we will boldly confront racist and ethnocentric philosophies and practices. Most importantly, we will proclaim the only solution to racism and every other sin that besets mankind: the gospel of Jesus Christ,” Ham added.
