(Worthy News) - Atheists are calling foul after President Trump only referenced Christianity, and specifically Jesus Christ, in his remarks Thursday at the 66th annual National Prayer Breakfast.

Roy Speckhardt, executive director of the American Humanist Association, said the president excluded Americans who practice other faiths or no faith at all.

“Trump has taken these government-endorsed prayer breakfasts to a new low, demonstrating his ignorance and disdain for the growing diversity of faiths and philosophies found in the country he’s supposed to be leading,” Mr. Speckhardt said in a statement. [ Source: Washington Times (Read More...) ]

  1. So the President can add to his remarks, " . . and for those of you who believe in nothing and those who follow the Qur'an which holds that if you don't agree with our tenets you should be beheaded . .' Yep!! That would be inclusive. Then there are those pesky 300,000,000 gods in India, guess he should shovel in a mention of those.

  2. What I never get about American “atheists” is that they are so religious about something they believe is a non issue, like God. European atheists don’t even address the God issue because to them He doesn’t exist.

  3. But the President didn't just pray to any old God, he prayed to the exact same God that the Atheists don't believe in. So he didn't exclude them at all, but very specifically included them.

  4. If you don't believe in God why does it bother you so much ? Deep down inside where all your guilt and shame is oh know Jesus is real and it scares you! But Jesus loves you too just repent and turn to him !

  5. Atheists are complaining about to whom our President prays at a Prayer Breakfast?

Why does a group whose faith is in no god (or goddesses) at all, comment on which faith some other person has? They weren't invited were they? I mean to pray to "no god" or religion at all?

Who cares what people, who are being inappropriate in their criticism, in the first place, say?

None of us can please all the people, or even some of the people, compared to the fact that we must please our God with our prayers.

So, if they are Atheists, to whom/what do they pray? Or is it to themselves they pray? That's not Atheism, that's the god of Self.
