'Unplanned' was birthed by faithful prayer, says 40 Days for Life founder

(Worthy News) - The story of Abby Johnson, a former Planned Parenthood clinic director turned pro-life advocate, is powerfully portrayed in the upcoming film "Unplanned," a story birthed by thousands of hours of fervent prayer.

Shawn Carney is the man behind many those prayers. He heads the 40 Days for Life campaign that began in Texas in the fall of 2004. The organization holds continuous, round-the-clock 40-day prayer campaigns every fall and during Lent. As intercessors, they peacefully pray outside abortion clinics, petitioning God to intervene and save the lives of the unborn children and their mothers.

In just 15 years, 40 Days for Life has become a global movement with hundreds of thousands of volunteer intercessors who pray and keep vigil outside Planned Parenthood clinics just like the one where Johnson once worked, which was eventually shut down. [ Source: Christian Post (Read More...) ]

  1. 15 years. "Just 15 yrs"? Really. That's all it takes?

Maybe if they had not been so wrapped up in pagan practices (i.e. Lent, Advent, etc) it could have been done in 2 yrs. Any of them still in the church? Churches? The ones God has been calling His people out of for, like, 20 years now in the USA and the UK (even longer) etc? Those "Christians"? any Papists among them? You know, people who pray to Mary, the (poor) mother of our Lord? Honestly, the things they slander that poor woman's name by...

One has to wonder just how many truly righteous Christians (verses people using the name not even knowing what god they serve) it would have taken.

James 5:16, ESV "Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working."

Abortion will once again be outlawed in the USA. It's coming. I asked for it way back in something like 1990. It was during at a moment in time wherein I was "in Christ" talking to his Father, and mine, verses these people "praying" during a "Lent" or 40 Days for Life campaign. Or is it too bold of me to say I know it because I prayed for it once? Well, what kind of prayers do you do that you don't know when they've hit their mark? That God shall grant them, or not. Faith? Got any?

Or shall we all now give that false prophet "doctor" James Dobson, the one who also sold us "Christian-Psychology" (like those two things can live together inside one brain, peacefully). It used to be him who was given the credit for instigating us all to action as Pro-Lifer's. Like no one could work on it till then?
The Pope is anti-abortion, it doesn't make him worthy before Christ the real Word of God come to Earth.

This is what happens when you let Catholics be treated as if they are Christ-followers. More like Pope followers. Lutheran's make it to Second Grade (primary school) now. We have the Internet to check out Pastor's sermons and see if they be biblical or not now.

God is waiting for the evil of a generation to be filled up first. Then, He will act. He will end abortion. At least, in the USA, He will. Can't speak for the rest of the world. Still, it's good of so many to try. There's good works (mitvot) and evil ones. Ending abortions is good work.

It's Him, our Abba, our Father, Christ's Father, who will do it. Not some guy doing a 40 days thingie (campaigns) during a "Lent" that is just pagan spelled using different letters of our alphabet. But newby Christ followers need a place to begin good works, I suppose that's a good place to start out.

    Give God the glory,

    and see it done.
