(Worthy News) – China is revoking the press credentials of three major US media organizations, in a move that has been censured by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo as a further step toward secrecy by the communist administration of Xi Jinping.

Reporters for the Washington Post, the New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal will not have their journalistic licenses renewed in China after they expire at the end of 2020, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs declared on Tuesday.

“They will not be allowed to continue working as journalists in the People’s Republic of China, including its Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions,” it said.

The Communist government claims the revocations come in response to the Trump administration’s decision to identify five Chinese news organizations “as foreign missions under American law,” Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said.

China is number 23 on Open Doors USA’s World Watch List for persecution of Christians, but is creating the “system of persecution for the future” through AI and surveillance technology already being marshaled against Christians, according to Open Doors CEO David Curry.
