Former British PM parrots “One Health” global governance paradigm as necessary response to coronavirus

(Worthy News) – Ex-British Prime Minister Gordon Brown is calling for a “temporary” one-world government as a supposed relief effort for economies hit by fear of spreading disease.

Brown’s version of an unelected transnational body whose protocols would override the constitutions of individual nation-states is a medical technocracy comprised of experts thought to be the only people capable of saving populations from coronavirus.

His “coordinated global response” would ensure “the efforts of central banks were coordinated” and would entail “a joint approach to the use of government spending to boost growth,” reasoning that “the more you intervene to deal with the medical emergency, the more you put economies at risk.”

Brown’s rationale echoes the “One Health” paradigm that has been touted in recent years by the World Health Organization and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention along with a slew of health experts.

The logic of One Health, according to the World Health Organization website, says that since “efforts by just one sector cannot prevent or eliminate the problem [of pathogens]…government officials, researchers and workers across sectors at the local, national, regional and global levels should implement joint responses to health threats.”
