WASHINGTON D.C. (Worthy News) – The Pentagon is considering deploying up to 10,000 additional ground troops to the Middle East, a move that would significantly strengthen President Donald Trump’s position as his administration confronts the Iranian regime while keeping diplomatic options on the table, according to a Wall Street Journal exclusive.

Defense officials say the proposed deployment would include infantry and armored units, adding to the roughly 5,000 Marines and thousands of 82nd Airborne Division paratroopers already sent to the region. The buildup reflects a clear strategy: peace through strength.

“All announcements regarding troop deployments will come from the Department of War,” said Deputy White House Press Secretary Anna Kelly. “President Trump always has all military options at his disposal.”

While exact deployment locations have not been finalized, forces are expected to be positioned within striking distance of Iran, including near Kharg Island—Tehran’s key oil export terminal. Such positioning would give the United States the ability to rapidly respond to threats and protect global energy stability.

President Trump has made it clear that securing the Strait of Hormuz—a critical artery for the world’s oil supply—is non-negotiable. The administration has signaled it is fully prepared to act unilaterally if necessary to ensure freedom of navigation and prevent Iranian disruption.

U.S. Central Command declined to comment on the plans.

Supporters of the move argue that rebuilding credible deterrence is essential after years of what they describe as weakness toward Iran’s radical leadership. By increasing military pressure, the administration aims to curb Tehran’s aggression, protect American interests, and create the conditions for a more favorable diplomatic outcome.

The potential troop surge underscores a broader doctrine taking shape under President Trump — projecting strength abroad to secure peace, stability, and leverage in negotiations with adversaries who respect power, not concessions.
