Biden to meet Manchin to persuade him on $1.9 trillion social spending bill

(Worthy News) – President Biden will meet with West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin next week to talk him into supporting the administration’s $1.9 trillion social spending bill.
The House narrowly passed the bill last month, with Maine Rep. Jared Golden being the sole Democrat to vote against the package.
Mr. Manchin is a key swing vote in the Senate who could derail Democrats’ hopes of passing the bill which would expand the U.S. welfare state. [ Source: Washington Times (Read More…) ]
