KYIV (Worthy News) – Ukraine’s war-time President Volodymyr Zelensky has visited his nation’s southern city of Mykolaiv as concerns rise that his forces may suffer from fatigue while they lose territories due to the ongoing Russian invasion.

Zelensky then went to the port city of Odesa, where he met medical staff caring for the injured.

He spoke with them after British Prime Minister Boris Johnson warned of “Ukraine fatigue” when returning from his trip to Kyiv, the capital, on Friday.

And, British Defense Ministry officials said Russia is likely to renew its efforts to advance into the Donetsk area, part of the strategic eastern Donbas region, Ukraine’s industrial heartland.

Yet amid all these setbacks, there was some positive news for Ukraine: The president announced that paramedic Yuliya Payevska, also known as Tayra, was freed from Russian captivity.

She and her driver were captured in the bombed-out and eventually occupied Ukrainian city of Mariupol in March, where she had been helping evacuate injured soldiers and civilians.

Yet, with more people dying daily and Russia now capturing nearly a quarter of the nation, pressure is mounting on President Zelensky to find a way out of the escalating war.

Johnson said that despite the clashes, Ukrainians “deserve” to host the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest after winning this year’s European television event.

Organizers say Britain should organize the contest instead as Europe’s worst conflict since World War Two continues to rage.
